What is included in the Blink Photo System?
It is a 12mp compact camera, a 16" folding photo tent, photo
editing software, a specially modified flash that mounts on the
camera, 3 photo pads, an extra camera battery, an SD card
reader, a 1GB SD card, and a carrying case (11" x 7" x 6").
What is Blink designed to do?
It was designed specifically for jewelry appraisers to take
documentation pictures.
Will it work for other small object photos?
Yes
What kinds of small objects?
Jewelry, shells, minerals, figurines, miniatures, coins. Most
anything that fits easily in the palm of your hand.
What do you mean by "documentary" photography?
The photographing of an object from several views to create a
visual record of the item. Typical users include jewelry
appraisers, collectors, and eBay sellers.
Can Blink be used for taking advertising photos?
It's not intended for "display" photography. That usually requires
a better camera, better lighting, and Photoshop editing. Hire a
professional photographer.
Is it portable?
It packs easily into a small case for transport to on-site shoots.
Can I buy the system without the camera?
Yes, but it is designed for use with just two camera. Most
compacts don't have a hot shoe and can not be hooked up to
the flash.
